3. Descriptions and Availability
3.1 The portrayal of products on the site will depend upon the characteristics and capabilities of your computer. We cannot therefore guarantee that products will be identical to their representations on the site. The items on sale on this site are hand-made, so although each piece will conform to the image on the website, each one will have small variations which make it unique. All dimensions and weights shown are averages and act only as a guideline.
3.2 We aim to hold sufficient stock to meet likely orders, however, there may be occasions when items will be temporarily out of stock. Should a product be unavailable we shall advise you of that fact and of the anticipated delivery date. If this is not satisfactory you may cancel the order immediately and a full refund will be made.
4. Completing the Contract
4.1 When you complete your details and the details of the goods which you wish to purchase, and submit them to us, you are offering to purchase the goods at the price shown on the website subject to these terms and conditions.
4.2 The contract for the sale by us to you of the goods is completed when we have taken payment for the goods.
4.3 A confirmation of your order will be sent by e-mail on submission of the order.
4.4 We reserve the right at our discretion to refuse to complete a contract for the sale of goods to you.
Payment is made by credit or debit card through our secure server, or by UK cheque.
6. UK Delivery
6.1 Once your order has been confirmed by us and payment completed, your goods will be despatched to you as soon as possible. In any event, delivery within the UK will take place within 7 days of receipt of payment.
6.2 Delivery of goods within the UK will be to the address specified by you at the time of order only and will take place on a week-day by Royal Mail first class recorded delivery, unless you have opted to pay for special delivery. Delivery times are not guaranteed. If delivery is delayed due to any cause beyond our reasonable control, we will contact you to make an alternative arrangement for delivery. If the address you supply has any mistake causing the delivery company to be unable to deliver the package, we will send your purchase again, but a further shipping cost will then be chargeable.
6.3 A signature will be required to acknowledge delivery. The signature of the person accepting delivery at the delivery address will be proof that you, or the person to whom the order is addressed, has received the delivery.
7. Delivery Outside the European Union
7.1 When ordering goods for delivery outside the EU you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches the specified destination. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, please note that when ordering from corvoleather.com, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods. You should be aware that products despatched internationally are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.
7.2 Your order will be despatched from our premises within 3 working days of receipt. From that point onwards the delivery time will be as is normal for the method of delivery chosen.
7.3 Goods ordered outwith, and for delivery outwith, the EU will be automatically charged net of VAT. Goods delivered within the EU will be subject to VAT, even if ordered outwith the EU.
8. Cancellation of Orders & Returns
8.1 You have a right to cancel your order within fourteen working days of receiving the goods. The fourteen day period begins upon the date of delivery of the goods to you.
8.2 In order to cancel your order, you must notify us by email or in writing within this 14 day period. A refund will be made within 30 days of your cancellation, subject to the return of the goods in perfect condition within that period of time. If you have paid for the goods by credit or debit card, your credit or debit card account will be re-credited as soon as possible, and in any event within the above 30 day period.
8.3 If you cancel your order you must take good care of the goods and must return them to us at your own expense. Non-faulty goods must be returned in their original packaging and condition, at your expense. We will refund full cost less any carriage costs incurred by ourselves within 30 days of cancellation of your order. If the goods have been damaged whilst in your possession then we will be unable to refund you. The goods must be returned unused.
8.4 Please note that the right to cancellation does not apply to goods which have been personalised.
None of the above affects your statutory rights.
You should examine the goods carefully upon receipt. If any item is faulty or damaged on arrival you must notify us at the contact address in clause 1, within seven working days of receipt, with written details of the damage and a photograph, if possible. As the delivery company may also want to see the goods for insurance purposes, we would beg your patience to not dispose of the goods until we can advise you on this. In some cases we would ask you to return the goods to us, at our cost. We will, of course, credit you or deliver replacement goods to you for verifiable claims.
We do not accept liability for any damage caused to instruments by metal buckles.
